Help with Blockpose

Load a skin, choose a pose, frame it, then download an image or make a thumbnail.

  1. Open Skin to upload a PNG or look up a Minecraft Java username through Minotar.
  2. Choose a preset in Explore poses. Select a body-part button or click the character to show rotation rings and sliders. Right and left refer to the character.
  3. Drag empty canvas space to orbit the character, right-drag to move the view, and scroll to zoom. On touch screens, drag with two fingers to move. Double-click empty space to reset the view. Press Escape to hide the selected part’s rings.
  4. Open Scene to frame the full body, waist up or just the head, change the perspective, pick a lighting look and turn on a ground shadow. The view bar above the character jumps to front, 3/4, side, back, hero and top views.
  5. Open Export. Pick a shape (cutout, square, portrait, wide, story or YouTube), a size and a format, then a background, outline and glow. The preview shows exactly what you will get. Select Download.

Share a pose

In Export, choose Copy share link. The link opens the same pose. If you loaded the skin by username, the link loads that skin too. Uploaded skins stay on your device, so links made with them open with the default skin.

Make a thumbnail

In Export, choose Use in thumbnail maker to send the posed character, without its background, to the thumbnail maker. There you can add a background, text, arrows and badges and download a 1280×720 image. You can also add any PNG with Add image.

Save and transfer poses

Open My poses, enter a name, and select Save. These poses stay in this browser. Use Save pose file to back them up and Load pose file to import them. Clearing browser storage removes saved poses.

Graphics interrupted

If the graphics context is lost, Blockpose pauses rendering and keeps your pose and skin in memory while the browser attempts recovery. If it cannot recover, choose Download pose backup before reloading. Keep the original skin PNG too.

Skin lookup failed

Check the Java username and try again. If Minotar is unavailable, upload your skin PNG instead. A newer upload takes priority over an older lookup.

Saving failed

Browser storage can be blocked or full. Your session poses remain available until you leave. Download a pose file before closing the page.

Keyboard controls

Space downloads an image with your current export settings. M mirrors a pose. Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes; Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z redoes. Arrow keys switch options in radio groups and tabs.
