Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
Short version: your skins stay on your device. We don't have accounts. Advertising cookies are only used if you accept them.
What stays on your device
- Skins and exported images are opened and rendered in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- Username search is optional. If you use it, the username you type is sent to our server, which asks Minotar for that player's public skin and returns the image. We don't keep a list of the usernames searched. The skin is then used in your browser like any other skin.
- Saved poses and settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing site data removes them. Use Save pose file in My poses to keep a copy.
- Thumbnail projects and background images you add in the thumbnail maker stay in your browser. When you send a character from the pose editor to the thumbnail maker, the image is passed through your browser's own storage on this device.
- Share links contain the pose itself in the link. If you loaded the skin by username, the link also includes that username. Uploaded skins are never put in a link.
Third-party services the site loads
| Service | Why | What they can see |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Page fonts | Your IP address and browser details when the page loads |
| jsDelivr (CDN) | Loads the 3D code libraries | Your IP address and browser details |
| Minotar (minotar.net) | Looks up a player's skin when you use username search | The username you searched and our server's address, not your own. Your browser never contacts Minotar directly. |
| Google AdSense | Shows ads, only after you accept | Cookies and identifiers described below |
Advertising and cookies
The site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads do not load until you choose Accept in the notice shown on first visit. If you choose Decline, no ad code is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, and to personalise them where permitted. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. You can change it using Cookie choice in the editor. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop already-loaded ad code. A temporary draft in session storage preserves the current pose, skin, and camera during that reload, then is removed. If temporary storage is unavailable, the editor asks you to save your work and reload.
What we collect
We do not ask for your name, email or any account. The site's host may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply to you.
Children
Blockpose is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or to object to its use. Because we hold almost none, this usually means the email you sent us. Contact us at blockpose@hotmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
